The Portland HS Spanish Web is an organized collection of resources for students to explore in their study of Spanish language, literature and culture at Portland High School. The site has been planned for active participation by students of all instructional levels. Resources may be presented in English or in Spanish. Students are directed to reference sites of historical or cultural significance, curriculum information, academic research tools and enrichment activities.

	Seminars are offered to all interested students. Assignments include reading and participation in two or three in depth discussions using methods of the Paedeia Discussions. Students read two of Gabriel Garcia Marquez*s novels, Leafstorm and his Nobel Prize novel, One Hundred Years of Solitude.
