What is it?

Intellectual Property- using the creative mind to create something that can be sold.

 

What is intellectual property law?

 

A law was created to protect the rights of the original creator of the work, so he/ she has some power over the way in which the creation is used.

 

How does this term relate to copyright?

 

Copyright law protects the creators of writings, music, and art. Other intellectual property laws are trade secret, trademark, and patent laws, protecting commercial information, services, and inventions. The copyright law protects only one kind of intellectual property.
