Portland High employs a full time security officer. Doors are locked from the outside of the building during school hours with the exception of the main doors. The school has in place a Crisis Plan to address emergency situations. PHS has a zero tolerance policy regarding all forms of harrasment, drugs, and threats to personal and school safety.
