How to Join the Sailing Team
Portland High School and Casco Bay High School students both girls
& boys from grades 9 thru grade 12 representing Portland High School Sailng
Team must print, fill out, and return the follow four forms to SailMaine: a
Registration form, Medical Information form, Waiver of Liability and Certification
of Swimming Ability form. All forms are located on the SailMaine website: www.sailmaine.org.
2006-2007 Program Fees
Single Season (Fall or Spring) = $300.00
Double Season (Fall and Spring) = $500.00
Scholarships are readily available; please contact SailMaine if you would like to sail but need financial assistance.
Please note that some experience is required for participation in the Spring season; Fall has both Varsity/J.V. and beginning/learn to sail programs. SailMaine offers summer sailing programs.

Requirements
Spring Sailing requires the use of a dry suit or wet suit when required by the coaching staff. Water temps in April are in the 30's. For safety reasons we cannot allow you to sail without a dry suit during the spring. Students are responsible for providing their own dry suit.
Dry suits are NOT required for the fall season.
