The Fine Arts Boosters organizes the 5th annual FAB Silent Auction to be
held at Portland High School during November parent/teacher conferences on
Thursday,November 18th; and Monday, November 22nd both days from 4:00 pm to
8:00 pm and Tuesday, November 23rd from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. The silent
auction is a major fund raising event. Last year FAB made $1,000.00 and
this year we hope to double that amount. All proceeds fund the arts and
student scholarships. Auction items include original artwork by PHS
teachers, gift certificates to area restaurants and businesses, an antique
Nutcracker with movable arms, tickets to the Portland Symphony, Portland
Ballet, and PCA Great Performances, family membership at Portland Museum of
Art, $300 worth of concrete repair, a hand knit scarf by FAB parent Lynne
Gammon, and a vintage kitchen gift basket (includes an antique pink dress
apron in mint condition) to name a few. Everyone¹s welcome and invited to
drop in on your way to or from a conference and bid on your favorite items.
The public is also invited even if you don¹t have kids in PHS. We welcome
your support. The auction will close at exactly 2:30 pm on Tuesday,
November 23 rd . Bring your wallets!! Come have some fun and support the
arts!
